VIOLETA SAMON

Soprano

Violeta was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, and has been honing her musical skills for almost her entire life. She started playing the piano at the age of five, and began taking vocal lessons just a few years later, at age eight. Already when she was nine she played in the Kyiv Operetta Theatre.

Her passion for music led her to pursue a career in opera singing, and she has been studying the craft at the Kyiv Conservatory for over sixteen years. Violeta has played various roles in opera productions over the years, including Euridice in Gluck's opera, Domna Saburova in Rimsky-Korsakov's opera, and Mrs. Gobineau in Menotti's "Medium".

She has also acted in the Theatre Studio "11", and performed in independent opera projects with renowned Ukrainian director Andriy Maslakov, playing the roles of Papagena and the Second Lady in Mozart's "The Magic Flute" and Mercedes in Bizet's "Carmen".

In 2021, Violeta became a soloist in the Tango Theater and performed concerts with the Kyiv Soloists chamber orchestra at the Philharmonie in Kyiv. In 2022 Violeta participated in the "Opera for Peace" academy in Rome, and in August she attended the "Les Rencontres Lyriques de Genève" opera academy in Geneva.
