Choir Conductor

Zizhang Wang is a choir conductor with a passion for exploring diverse types of choir music. He graduated from the Music Academy of Capital Normal University, where he studied choir conducting for four years in China and gained experience rehearsing and performing Chinese choir music with several ensembles, including the Beijing Musicians Association Choir and the China National Symphony Orchestra Choir.


Seeking to expand his repertoire, Zizhang moved to Maastricht to study with Hans Leenders at the Conservatorium. During his two-year program, he rehearsed a variety of music genres, such as classical, opera (including Les Contes d'Hoffmann), jazz, and pop.


Currently, Zizhang is the choir conductor and director of the Vivas choral group in Maastricht, where he continues to showcase his expertise and passion for diverse types of choir music.
